New iPhone arrived

My new 3G iPhone arrived yesterday. I had read all the reviews and so I was expecting certain things, which is exactly what I got: (1) better reception and sound quality, especially on speakerphone; (2) form factor feels more comfortable while holding the phone during calls; (3) download speeds with 3G vastly improved over the slower EDGE network; (4) GPS works very well, but (along with 3G) tends to drain battery more quickly; (5) applications are great addition, but that was something I already had with the old phone (after upgrading to the 2.0 software).
I gave my old phone to Becky, and so she's now getting used to it. For all the problems that surrounded the new iPhone launch (and the upgrade to 2.0 software for the old phone) it's hard to appreciate how much has happened in the past year. I now have a device that is a great phone, music player, video player, photo display, Web-browser, Email client, GPS (although not the kind you'd rely on as a car navigator), contact manager, and all around information manager.
I remember what the first generation iPods looked like compared to what's available now. This iPhone is in its second generation and is already a very impressive device. In 3 or 4 years the iPhone will probably be the dominant smartphone. The Blackberry folks have to be worried.
