Apple store coming to New Orleans this Fall

A friend of mine told me today that Apple was opening up a store in Lakeside shopping center. Apparently, the news came to her because a local Apple repair fellow was told that his 'official license' wasn't going to be renewed effective August 2008. The reason? Apple is planning on opening a new store here.

I checked with my best local source on Apple news, and he confirms it. Someone he knows is applying for a management position, and the store is supposed to open in the Fall of this year in Lakeside shopping center. He told me that the news first broke on this blog site, which covers news about Apple stores.
