A peek into the Sausage Factory

Congress
This is why I try to avoid paying too much attention to what happens in Congress.  Of course, when some inane law gets passed, or some agency is given too much power over our lives, you wind up having to pay attention.  That said, it's wonderfully ironic that Senator Ted Steven's wife, Catherine, would be hassled by TSA because they believed that she was the 'reknowned Muslim terrorist suspect' Cat Stevens. Funny, I thought he was just a folk singer.

My recommendation for improving Congress is to take away all their computers and make them pass laws by carving them in stone.  At least that would slow down the output.
