Hurricane blogs, publicity & friends

If you are looking for information on Slidell, check out the Slidell Hurricane Damage Blog.  Many of you already know about this blog since it was featured, along with mine, in this Washington Post article.  I've been contacted by a lot of news organizations regarding the hurricane aftermath and I have to say that one of the most enjoyable people I talked to was Yuki Noguchi, the WaPo writer who penned that article. She seemed very thoughtful and asked a lot of interesting questions, many outside the focus of her article.

I also enjoyed being interviewed by Brian Lehrer of New York's NPR.  What I enjoyed most was not so much the interview, which was fine, but hearing from a old and dear friend of mine that she was listening to 'her favorite morning show' when she heard them announce that 'Ernie the Attorney' would be interviewed.  But what I have enjoyed most is the many emails I've gotten from old friends who I have lost contact with over the years.

In this time of drastic transition, it's friends who help us keep a postive outlook.  I have a lot of really great friends and I've never felt that more than I do now.  I just wish I had more time and opportunity to commune with them right now.  But, alas, there is the need to work and to help my law firm get back on track.  Needless to say, I have a lot of great friends there too.

Did you also see the special edition of "Time" this week? It talks about Dr. Greg Henderson who was in a prior blog entry.
