My name is Michelle Ptack and I am the Girl Scout Troop Coordinator for several troops just outside of Chicago.  We would like to run a donation drive for those people affected by Katrina in the New Orleans area.   What we need to effectively do this is a list of names, ages, clothing and shoe sizes, and any other immediate needs (diapers, formula, etc.) that these people need, as well as their shipping addresses. 
If you have any people that are in need of our donations, please send their information to me.  We will organize care packages in as quickly as possible and get them shipped out.

There is a citizen-run relief camp now operational in Covington, LA. The extra supplies from Cindy Sheehan's protest in Crawford, TX are there. The Veterans For Peace bus is there with satellite internet connection. They're feeding people.
