Book Recommendation from Judge Roger Young

I met Judge Roger Young of Ninth Judicial Circuit for State of South Carolina recently through Stanley Feldman, who is a loyal blog reader and a Tulane Baseball fan (Stanley's son Aaron played outfield for the Greenies a couple of years ago).  Anyway, I was fortunate to have Stanley introduce me to Judge Young and his son Hank when they were in town for the recent Tulane baseball playoffs.

Judge Young is quite tech-savvy, but he's mostly people-savvy and common-sense savvy.  So when he emailed me to recommend A Life and Death Decision : A Jury Weighs the Death Penalty by Scott Sundby I knew I had to put it on my reading list.  I haven't read it yet, but I will.  Judge Young recommends it "even if you never handle a capital case. It’s a great insight into the dynamics of how juries make decisions, and reads like a novel."
