Judge Mark Painter of the First District Court of Appeals has a a website (not a weblog, yet) that highlights his book on effective legal writing. I plan to read his book and comment on it later, but I like the idea of getting a judge's perspective on proper legal writing.

Bill Wallo is a full-time lawyer in Wisconsin. He's a part-time writer, and a very effective blogger so check out his weblog: Walloworld: random musings of an untidy mind. RSS/XML feed available.

Blaine Myhre practices with a firm in Denver, Colorado and has a weblog devoted to opinions and news from Colorado appellate courts (including the Colorado Supreme Court): Colorado-Appeals Blog.

Lastly, a programming note. I no longer update my Law Blog Outline, or at least not regularly. I may do it once or twice a year, but it is a huge pain the rear to mess with and I just don't have the time. That said, I got word that one of my links there is no longer valid, so I'll post that update here. Dr. Walter Simon's weblog, Simon's Blawg is a great weblog on International law and German law, and I apologize for the erroneous link on my outline. I'll fix it one day soon.
