Use SMS to get info from Google

Google has a new thing called Google SMS. If you have a phone that you can send and receive SMS messages with you might be interested in this. Just send an SMS message to the number 46645 (which is Google's address) and enter the search information in your text screen. So if you want to find a Sushi restaurant in a particular zip code, you'd enter 'Sushi xxxxx'. Or if you want to find a residential phone number you'd enter 'first name, last name, city and state'. Supposedly, the results are returned in a minute or so.

I'm still waiting for my test queries to be responded to. Maybe it doesn't work so good with Sprint service. Now that would be a real surprise. [grin]
