Weekly Law Blog Roundup

Mad Kane, the popular humorist and tireless satirist of Dubya, has had a weblog for a while. The big news for Mad is that she now has an RSS feed for her weblog.

The BlogBook is filling a role I would have never guessed needs to be filled: a guide to citation issues in legal blogging. Or as they put it BlogBook seeks "to facilitate discussions around the technical, stylistic and ethical components of legal blogging." Avec le RSS feed. I wonder if I cited all of that correctly?

Notes from The Legal Underground is a new legal weblog by Evan Schaeffer, an attorney who practices with a personal injury firm in Godfrey, Illinois. I've spent a few nights in Godfrey. In fact one of my partners here grew up in Godfrey and his folks still live there. It's a wonderful place, but enough about Godfrey. Evan's weblog is just getting going, but he has already decided on a focus point: "A blawg that asks the question -- Can lawyers be entertaining?"

Another great weblog that I've been itching to announce is Baseball Crank, which provides commentary with a conservative bent on "Baseball, War, Politics, Law and More!" Mostly, the commentary is about baseball but I gather the author is a lawyer given some of the comments. This site also has an RSS feed.

Thanks for the plug, Ernie! Yes, I'm a lawyer practicing in NYC, and my principal co-blogger iis also an attorney, though as you can tell, the emphasis of the site changes from day to day between the various major topics of interest.
