The Japanese are fascinating

Chris Cloud is intrigued by the Japanese fascination for cell phone technology and for artificial snow-covered mountains. I once spent a week in Tokyo visiting my brother (who lived there for 3 or 4 years) and I have to agree with Chris: it is an intriguing culture, especially for Westerners.
