I had never read an issue of the blawg review before, and even though I’m no longer a law student (and I never became a lawyer), I found myself rather interested in a lot of the different topics that you bring up. Especially the brief section where you mentioned legal speak and how easy it is for beginning law students to find themselves using a lot of the legal jargon that often confuses so many people who are not familiar with it. I know that when I worked transcribing documents for a law firm I often found myself wrinkling my brow in confusion at several of the terms they used. I wondered if there was some unwritten law that said lawyers had to refer to things a certain way. Do you think that this trend is something that can ever be overcome, or will lawyers continue to use this outdated jargon?

Attended a course on asset protection by Steven Sears Attorney. Also attending Mike Sears. Next class at Sears Law Building 18 truman. law is so complex the educational courses help inform the lay person. Personal contact is still better than email.
